This guide is intended to assist the registrar with understanding how The Digital Coaching Center (DCC) integration works and answer questions from Coaches and other admins or volunteers.
What is the DCC Integration with Affinity Sports?
The DCC integration will automatically retrieve and insert available coaching license information from U.S. Soccer into the Affinity Sports Platform. License information will display on a coach’s profile when a full match is found between the two databases. Affinity Sports will display the highest license found in the DCC on the coach’s record.
What are the benefits of the DCC Integration with Affinity Sports?
Coaching license data will be updated from the DCC eliminating the need for State Administrators to manually add this information into a coaches’ record.
What are the match criteria?
Coaching license information is retrieved from the DCC using the following match criteria.
- Admins First Name
- Admins Last Name
- Admins Date of Birth
- Admins Email Address
What is considered a full match?
A full match is defined as all information (first name, last name, DOB and email) correct in both databases. This will result in a sync to occur.
Where does a Coach go to update their profile?
If your first name, last name, DOB or email address in the DCC are not the same in the Affinity Sports Platform, you can edit your information in the DCC or with your state association.
Please note: If you need to update a First Name, Last Name or DOB these items will need to updated directly with your state association office. Email addresses can be updated on the Affinity system via your My Account portal.
How often are the results updated?
Results are automatically updated when a new coaching application is created, when a coach is rostered to a team, and subsequent checks will be triggered 7 days after each of these actions take place. The state association and registrars will also have an option to manually retrieve results.
A coach reports that they have completed an online course with the DCC, but their license is not displayed?
Results are automatically updated when a new coaching application is created, when a coach is rostered to a team, and subsequent checks will be triggered 7 days after each of these actions take place. If you are looking to get license results outside of these triggers, you can retrieve the data by selecting “Get Licensing from DCC” on the admin’s profile.
A coach completed an in person course and their license is not displaying.
If you completed an in person course it could take several weeks for the course host to provide the course results to U.S. Soccer. This will depend on how quickly the course host provides that information to U.S. Soccer.
A coach reports that they have multiple licenses. Which licenses will show in their profile?
We will be tracking completed courses on the additional info tab, and show their highest ranking license as the current license on the admin info tab. Ranking is determined by the state soccer association.
